My journey

My yoga journey began after a running injury, marking a shift away from high‑intensity exercise and toward movement that supported both my mental and physical wellbeing.

In 2014, I began exploring different styles of yoga and quickly realised how much better it made me feel. As a full‑time, self‑employed hairdresser who thrives on connecting with people, becoming a yoga teacher felt like a natural progression. I qualified in March 2023, excited to share what had helped me so much.

Just a few months later, in July 2023, I underwent a left hip replacement. This required major changes to my physical practice, and I embraced the process with the mantra accept and adapt. After a full recovery, I continued to rebuild strength and confidence—only to face my second hip replacement in November 2025. Both experiences have deeply shaped the way I move and the way I teach.

In 2024, I began my Reformer Pilates training, adding another dimension to my understanding of movement. I now enjoy teaching both mat and reformer Pilates alongside yoga, blending strength, mobility, and mindful awareness.

I continue to attend weekly classes to explore my own movement and stay connected to being a student as well as a teacher.

With two new hips and a wealth of lived experience, I’m passionate about creating an inclusive movement environment where people of all abilities feel welcome. I truly believe movement is for EVERYBODY and every body—no exceptions.
